It's Time for Fairy Tales... The Land of Toys

An open-air fairytale in the heart of Val di Sole

Every year, around Ferragosto, Parco Sama in Pellizzano dons a cloak of magic to become the stage for "It's Time for Fairy Tales... The Land of Toys", one of the most beloved summer festivals in this Trentino town. Set in the large municipal garden of ancient apple trees, the event transports visitors on a journey between fantasy and reality, inspired by the famous story of Pinocchio and his Land of Toys.

The Municipality of Pellizzano and the Pro Loco

The event is organized by the Pro Loco Pellizzano in collaboration with the local municipality, located in the Val di Sole district in the province of Trento (Trentino-Alto Adige). Pellizzano is a small alpine village overlooking the Stelvio National Park and the Adamello-Brenta range, and the festival stands as one of the highlights of the local summer, attracting both holidaying families and valley residents.

A program for all ages

Parco Sama, with its green spaces and historic orchards, hosts a rich calendar of fairytale-themed activities over three days. The event features:

• Shows and entertainment inspired by classic fairy tales and the world of Pinocchio;
• Live music in the garden;
• Open-air cinema during summer evenings;
• Markets featuring handicrafts and curiosities;
• Tastings and delights to enjoy between activities.

An atmosphere for every age

Although the event is specifically designed for children, "It's Time for Fairy Tales" invites adults to rediscover wonder and imagination. Admission is free, and the park gates typically open in the afternoon from 4:00 PM, continuing into the evening with lights, shows, and flavors. It is an ideal way to experience an alpine Ferragosto in a unique way, filled with magic and conviviality.
