Who organizes the Irpinia Tour
The event is promoted by the A Tempo Perso association, which operates in collaboration with some of the most active entities in Southern Italian motoring collecting: the Club Salerno Autostoriche, the Club Veicoli Storici Irpino, the Vesuvius club, and the Mito Delta Club. The event is held under the patronage of the Province of Avellino and the Municipality of Villanova del Battista, confirming a project that is not just a parade of cars but also a tool for local promotion.
The taste of Irpinia: showcooking and Ufita flavors
As in any self-respecting Irpinian festival, the table plays a far from secondary role. The gastronomic area offers dishes from the local peasant tradition, and those who decide to stay for lunch will find a complete menu that accompanies the day: fresh local pasta, main courses linked to the culture of transhumance, and a glass of Aglianico, the red wine that tells the story of the Irpinian hills better than any other. Third edition: July 12, 2026
On Sunday, July 12, 2026, from 10:00 AM, Villanova del Battista hosted the third edition of the Irpinia Tour, a classic car and motorcycle rally also open to modern supercars. The streets and the town square transformed into an open-air museum dedicated to motoring, with a static exhibition of historic and sports vehicles set up in the town center.
Five thematic areas
The day's program was divided into five spaces: classic cars, classic motorcycles, supercars, a food & beverage area, and a space dedicated to photos and memories of the event. Among the displayed vehicles were vintage sedans and coupes alongside the latest generation models and historic motorcycles, including some Ducatis.
Awards and parade
The awards ceremony was held at 12:00 PM, followed by a parade of vehicles through the town streets. The 2026 edition adopted the theme tradition, innovation, passion, with the goal of valuing motoring heritage, current technologies, and local gastronomy together.

- 12:00 PM — awards ceremony for vehicles and participants.
- Following — parade of vehicles through the town streets.
- Lunch — complete menu with chef's appetizers, Irpinian fusilli with mushrooms and sausage prepared via showcooking, transhumance stew as a main course, water, and a glass of Aglianico.

How to get there
Villanova del Battista can be reached by car from the A16 Naples-Canosa motorway, taking the Grottaminarda exit and continuing towards the Ufita Valley in the direction of Flumeri, Zungoli, and Ariano Irpino: the village is just a few kilometers from the main junctions in the area. The most convenient railway station is Ariano Irpino, while the nearest airports are Naples-Capodichino and Bari-Palese. Those participating with a historic vehicle will find the climb toward the village a scenic route that is worth the trip in itself.

The exhibition is set up in the town center: the streets and the main square become an open-air museum for a day, with thematic areas distributed a short distance from one another and entirely walkable.
Costs and registration
The stroll among the displayed vehicles takes place in the public spaces of the village. The fee applies to those participating with their own vehicle and includes a free gift as well as the chance to compete for prizes. Lunch is separate, with a complete menu that can be booked through the organization.
Useful tips
- Arrive in the morning: the setup is complete from the early hours and the awards ceremony is held at midday.
- Bring a hat and water: you are at altitude, but in July the Irpinian sun does not hold back.
