About Indigest Festival

Indigest Festival is the independent music event in Castel San Pietro Terme, in the Province of Bologna. Organized by the Uroboro APS association at Parco Casatorre, it fills three summer evenings with live concerts, talks, exhibitions, workshops, a market, cocktail bar, and street food. A free event open to all, it blends the emerging music scene with a journey through comics and anthropology, in an informal and family-friendly atmosphere in the heart of the Castellana Summer.

A widespread festival of independent music and art

Indigest Festival is one of the most anticipated events of the summer in Castel San Pietro Terme, a spa town in the Province of Bologna, in Emilia-Romagna. Born from the energy of the Uroboro APS association, the festival has transformed Parco Casatorre (Luca Grilli Playground area, along viale Terme) into an open-air stage dedicated to independent creativity over the years: music, visual arts, comics, and participatory culture.

Three evenings of concerts and cross-pollination

The heart of the event is the live concerts by bands and projects from the Italian emerging scene. The musical offering is deliberately eclectic, ranging from rock, pop, electronic, drum'n'bass, punk, afrobeat, and indie, giving space to artists who rarely find exposure in commercial circuits. Alongside the stage, Indigest builds a program each year that goes far beyond the concert.

  • Talks and conferences, often linked to the "Convivenze" (Coexistences) project, a journey through comics and anthropology on current themes such as virtual relationships and the era of artificial intelligence;
  • Exhibitions and displays of illustration and independent art;
  • Workshops, including concert photography;
  • Indigest Market, featuring vinyl records, comics, prints, posters, and handmade, sustainable crafts;
  • Cocktail bar and street food curated by local businesses.

A local project

Indigest Festival is organized by the social promotion association Uroboro, with the patronage of the Municipality of Castel San Pietro Terme and the collaboration of the Pro Loco and numerous local associations. The event is part of the Estate Castellana (Castellana Summer) program, the municipality's summer event calendar, and has established itself as a reference point for independent culture in the Imola district.

Free and for everyone

One of Indigest's distinctive features is its completely free and open-to-all nature: admission is free for every evening, with a focus on accessible culture that makes the festival a meeting place for families, young people, and music lovers. The setting in the green Parco Casatorre, in a spa town a few kilometers from Bologna and Imola, completes the experience with a relaxed and convivial atmosphere.
