Dawn concert in Sant'Andrea Meadows, between music, archaeology, and women's rights
Among the stones of time and the Sant'Andrea Meadows, in Bagnara di Romagna, the traveling festival "In mezzo scorre il fiume" offers one of its most evocative events: a dawn concert that welcomes the first sun over the Romagna plain. As the sky brightens, the voices of the female trio Le Croque Madame — Debora Bettoli, Sabrina Mungari, and Ilaria Petrantuono — weave songs and harmonies in a slow, participatory awakening, far from the rhythms of the city.
The 2026 edition dedicates this event to the 80th anniversary of women's suffrage in Italy. The subtitle, "Dawn of freedom, women's voices among the stones of time", tells a journey from the archaeological memory of the territory to the conquest of women's rights. Music thus becomes an occasion for collective reflection, in a place rich in history and nature.
The Bagnara event is part of "In mezzo scorre il fiume", a widespread series of paths through art, music, and nature that crosses numerous municipalities in Emilia-Romagna and neighboring territories, from June 7 to October 4, 2026. Created to enhance villages and river landscapes with slow and respectful tourism, the festival offers concerts, walks, and meetings designed to create community between residents and visitors.
Located in the province of Ravenna, Bagnara di Romagna preserves one of the most characteristic historic centers and a fortress in the plain, recognized among the most beautiful villages in Italy. The setting of Sant'Andrea Meadows at dawn offers an intimate and timeless experience, where music, archaeology, and landscape merge.
Admission is free with a voluntary solidarity donation. As it is an outdoor dawn concert, it is advisable to arrive a few minutes early and bring comfortable clothing for the subsequent walk.
The seventh edition of "In mezzo scorre il fiume" (June 7 – October 4, 2026) stops in Bagnara di Romagna on Sunday, July 5, with a dawn concert in Sant'Andrea Meadows, at the intersection of Via Lunga and Via Fossette. At 5:40 AM, the female vocal trio Le Croque Madame (Debora Bettoli, Sabrina Mungari, Ilaria Petrantuono) accompanies the sunrise with a repertoire dedicated to the 80th anniversary of women's suffrage.
The concert is followed by a guided tour of the medieval archaeological area, curated by archaeologist Maria Cristina Beltrani, and a walk to the historic center of the village, with a convivial breakfast. Admission is free with a voluntary solidarity donation.
