Free snowtubing slopes for children in Piazza Tre Torri, in the spirit of the Winter Olympics
Ice & Fun Milan Cortina 2026 is the initiative with which the CityLife Shopping District celebrated the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, partly hosted in the Municipality of Milan (Lombardy). In Piazza Tre Torri, at the foot of the CityLife skyscrapers (District 8), free snowtubing slopes were set up for the little ones.
The snowtubing slopes were reserved for children aged 3 to 12, under the supervision of qualified staff; children under 3 could only participate if accompanied by a parent. A fun and accessible way to let families experience the atmosphere of winter sports, in line with the spirit of the Games, without leaving the city.
The setup paid particular attention to sustainability: the trees used were real and intended for reuse after the event, while the snowtubing slopes used technical panels that eliminate the need for ice or artificial snow, reducing water and energy consumption. An event that combined entertainment, Olympic value, and environmental responsibility in the heart of contemporary Milan.
The inaugural edition of Ice & Fun took place from February 4 to 22, 2026, coinciding with the Milan-Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games. In Piazza Tre Torri, in the heart of Milan's CityLife Shopping District, free snowtubing slopes were set up for children aged 3 to 12, with qualified staff.
The initiative, with free admission on a first-come, first-served basis, brought families closer to the spirit of winter sports, with particular attention to the sustainability of the setup (real reusable trees, technical panels without artificial ice).
