Milan's Flea Market

The Fiera di Sinigaglia is Milan's historic flea market. Its origins date back to the 19th century, when second-hand clothing vendors appeared in the Ticinese area; over time, the market changed locations several times, finally settling on the Navigli canals. Today, it is held along the Ripa di Porta Ticinese, between Via Pasquale Paoli and Via Barsanti, in the Porta Genova district (Municipality 6), overlooking the Naviglio Grande.

A Mess Full of Treasures

What makes the Fiera di Sinigaglia special is precisely its chaotic and unpredictable nature. You can find a bit of everything on the stalls: vintage and second-hand clothing, home decor items, vinyl records, books, posters, collectibles, militaria, and handicrafts. There is no real organization by category: the charm lies in the treasure hunt, in finding that rare piece or unexpected item among the piles.

Every Saturday, All Year Round

The market is held every Saturday, approximately from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some vendors closing in the late afternoon. It is a fixed event that withstands the passage of trends and is part of the Navigli landscape. The best time for choosing is in the morning; late afternoon is ideal for trying to negotiate prices.

More than just a market, the Fiera di Sinigaglia is a microcosm of the city, where curious onlookers and enthusiasts mingle with Milanese people strolling along the water.
