The open-air electronic music festival in the countryside of Racconigi
The Hummingfields Music Festival is one of the freshest electronic music events in the Piedmont region. It takes place in Racconigi, specifically in the Canapile district, located along the Strada Vecchia per Canapile in the Province of Cuneo. The vision is to take the grand electronic party out of city clubs and immerse it in the rural landscape of Piedmont, surrounded by the fields and greenery of the Cuneo plains.
The festival was founded in 2025 by brothers Fabio and Simone Gastaldo, known as Gasta, who are natives of the Canapile area. Their starting concept was simple yet ambitious: to transform their home turf into a stage for electronic music, capable of attracting DJs and producers from across Europe alongside emerging local talent.
Hummingfields features three main stages covering various electronic genres: electronic groove, hardstyle, techno, and hard techno. However, the festival is more than just music; the experience is enriched by art installations and scenic designs that change every year according to a narrative theme, as well as green relaxation zones to catch your breath between sets.
From its very first edition, Hummingfields has showcased a soul that goes beyond the dance floor. The event's core values are environmental awareness and sustainability, inclusion, and solidarity. In its debut year, proceeds from merchandise sales were donated to the Savigliano-Saluzzo-Fossano Hospital Foundation for local healthcare projects, highlighting a strong bond with the local community.
In a very short time, Hummingfields Festival has become a highly anticipated date for electronic music lovers in Piedmont and beyond, attracting an audience from outside the province. The natural setting of Canapile, the attention to stage design, and an international line-up make it one of the most compelling options for those seeking an open-air experience distinct from large urban events.
The 2026 edition of the Hummingfields Music Festival returns to Racconigi, in the Canapile district, on Saturday, September 5, 2026, with a new scenic theme: "KOLIVARA – The Lost City", the lost city that will serve as the guiding thread for the installations and the festival area's design.
The event confirms its open-air formula immersed in the Cuneo countryside, with electronic music as the protagonist. Among the announced names, DJ and producer Luca Testa stands out as the evening's headliner, while the presence of the Radio Emotions stage is also confirmed. The detailed program, including the full line-up and set times, will be announced on official channels in the weeks leading up to the event.
