The second-hand and hobby market winding through the streets of Castello Tesino, in Valsugana
In the village of Castello Tesino, located in Valsugana, the Hobby and Second-Hand Market returns monthly, accompanying the summer season from May to September. Every first Sunday of the month, the streets and squares of the town, in the province of Trento (Trentino-Alto Adige), transform into an open-air trail filled with stalls, vintage objects, and little curiosities.
The market is dedicated to curious visitors of all ages and brings together hobbyists, collectors, and second-hand enthusiasts. Strolling among the exhibitors, you can discover different items and crafts at each edition:
The initiative, promoted by the municipal administration of Castello Tesino, was born with the intention of reviving the less-frequented corners of the town. In addition to the Giardini di Via Dante, the heart of the event, the market spreads across various spaces in the historic center—including Piazza Marconi, Piazza Fabio Filzi, the small square of San Ippolito, and Piazza San Giorgio—showcasing the village as a true "open-air museum." It is the ideal opportunity to combine second-hand shopping with a relaxing walk through the town's houses and courtyards.
Castello Tesino is a small municipality on the Tesino plateau, in the eastern part of Valsugana, nestled among the meadows and mountains of the Lagorai range. Its location makes it a pleasant destination for those seeking authenticity and tranquility, just a short distance from the valley's main tourist attractions. The market is yet another reason to discover this corner of Trentino during the summer months.
