The Morone, the Chestnut That Celebrates

The Festa dei Moroni is the festival that Seren del Grappa, a municipality in the province of Belluno in the foothills of Feltre, dedicates to the morone, the large chestnut typical of the Feltrino area. Organized for over thirty years by the Pro Loco Seren del Grappa, the event takes place over two October weekends and is one of the most cherished autumn events in the Belluno area. The marrone and the Feltrino chestnut are products protected by a dedicated Consortium, testifying to the importance of chestnut cultivation for this territory.

Roasted Chestnuts, Gastronomy, and Crafts

The heart of the festival is the roasted chestnuts, offered continuously, alongside a wide range of chestnut-based dishes at the food stalls. The program includes craft workshops, wood carving demonstrations, exhibitions, cultural events, and themed gatherings, as well as the unmissable dancing and music evenings under the marquee at the sports facilities.

An Identity Festival at the Foot of Grappa

The Festa dei Moroni is much more than a food festival: it is the moment when the community of Seren del Grappa celebrates its landscape, made up of centuries-old chestnut groves, and the knowledge linked to the land. At the foot of the Grappa Massif, amidst music, tradition, and conviviality, the festival attracts visitors from all over the Feltrino area and the Veneto region, in an atmosphere of authentic mountain hospitality.
