The grand festival of medicinal and mountain herbs in Roccaforte Mondovì
The Herbal Fair is the most anticipated spring event in Roccaforte Mondovì, a small town in the Monregalese area of the Cuneo province, in the heart of Piedmont. For four days, the village turns into a large, open-air space entirely dedicated to aromatic, medicinal, and mountain herbs, natural products, and local excellence, featuring meetings, workshops, walks, gastronomic experiences, shows, and activities for the whole family.
Established in the early 2000s, the Fair has grown into a landmark event for enthusiasts of botany, herbalism, and rural alpine culture. The program weaves together nature, tradition, and wellness: guided botanical walks, medicinal herb identification activities, nature hikes, and visits to the ancient Pieve di San Maurizio (11th–13th century). Events are spread across the historic center, the Piano di San Maurizio, and the surrounding natural areas.
The heart of the Fair is the grand market held on June 2nd, coinciding with Republic Day: dozens of exhibitors, producers, and artisans showcase flowers, medicinal plants, aromatic and mountain herbs, natural products, and gastronomic specialties. Alongside the commercial stands, there are local associations, market stalls, and numerous cultural and recreational initiatives.
The Herbal Fair is organized by the Pro Loco of Roccaforte Mondovì in collaboration with the Kyé+ association, with the support of the municipal administration and the Tourist Office. It is an event that promotes the biodiversity of the Monregalese valleys and invites visitors to rediscover the deep bond between humanity, the mountains, and their herbs.
The 22nd edition of the Herbal Fair was held in Roccaforte Mondovì from May 30th to June 2nd, 2026, enlivening the Monregalese village for four days with a rich calendar of initiatives.
