The traveling food, wine, and craft fair on the Amalfi Coast promenade
Gusto Italia in Minori is the coastal stop of Gusto Italia in Tour, a traveling fair dedicated to fine food, wine, and artistic craftsmanship that has visited over a hundred locations across Central and Southern Italy since 2020. Every summer, the event arrives in the town of Minori, in the province of Salerno, turning the Amalfi Coast seaside promenade into a vibrant trail of exhibition stalls, scents, and colors. Admission is free: the stands remain open from late afternoon until midnight, when the coast truly comes alive and the evening air invites a stroll along the shore.
The heart of the event is the market, designed to connect producers directly with buyers, cutting out the middleman. Each stall tells the story of a territory, and in many cases, you can sample before you buy. Recurring highlights include:
It is a unique opportunity to discover the variety of artisanal production in Campania and neighboring regions, and to take home something truly authentic that you won't find in standard souvenir shops.
Gusto Italia is more than just a market: every edition features an entertainment program to accompany the evenings. In the afternoon, the National Puppet Theater of master Mauro Apicella performs Pulcinella and his masks, a show that delights children and intrigues adults alike. In the evening, the scene shifts to Piazza Cantilena, where concerts, guest appearances, and cultural events take place, while the pier hosts the liveliest moments with music and DJ sets.
The event is organized by the Associazione Italia Eventi, chaired by Giuseppe Lupo, in collaboration with the Pro Loco of Minori. The festival is supported by the Municipality of Minori, the Salerno Chamber of Commerce, CNA Salerno, and the UNOE (National Union of Event Organizers). The summer circuit continues in Cilento with other stops along the Salerno coast, from Marina di Camerota to Acciaroli, after opening the season in Vietri sul Mare.
Minori is one of the most intimate villages on the Amalfi Coast: a few thousand inhabitants, a beach at the valley's end, and the nickname City of Taste, which says a lot about the town's relationship with its cuisine. The seaside promenade, enhanced by the historic Fontana dei Leoni, can be walked in minutes and serves as the natural stage for the fair. The famous Path of the Lemons, a scenic route through the terraces connecting Minori and Maiori, also starts here. Visiting Gusto Italia means combining an evening of tastings and crafts with the discovery of a corner of Campania where the landscape, citrus fruits, and the table have always been one and the same.
The 2026 edition of Gusto Italia in Minori took place from Thursday, July 16 to Sunday, July 19, on the promenade of the town of Minori, on the Amalfi Coast. Every day, from 5:00 PM until midnight, the seaside walk was filled with the stalls of producers and artisans, with free admission.
The market brought together cured meats and cheeses from various Italian regions, with specialties from the Vallo di Diano, sweet and savory Puglian taralli, dried fruit with no added sugar, Giffoni PGI hazelnuts, spreads, almonds, walnuts, and freshly made brittle, as well as Fiano wines from Irpinian producers. There was also plenty of space for crafts: handmade jewelry, Torre del Greco coral, Campanian artistic ceramics, wooden objects, vintage dolls, leather bags from the Solofra district, and natural lavender products.
Every afternoon, from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM, the National Puppet Theater of master Mauro Apicella animated the promenade with Pulcinella shows. The evenings then moved to Piazza Cantilena, with music by the Marco Francini Band on Friday the 17th and the "Letto ad una piazza" meeting hosted by Gigi Marzullo with journalist Francesca Fagnani on Saturday the 18th. The grand finale on Sunday the 19th was held on the pier, with the screening of the FIFA World Cup final on an LED wall accompanied by a DJ set by Rosario Sepe.
The event was organized by the Associazione Italia Eventi, chaired by Giuseppe Lupo, in collaboration with the Pro Loco of Minori and with the patronage of the Municipality of Minori, the Salerno Chamber of Commerce, CNA Salerno, and the UNOE.
Minori is located along the SS163 Amalfitana state road, between Maiori and Amalfi. By car, the route is scenic but narrow and very busy in the summer months; parking in town is limited and paid, so it is better to arrive early or leave your car outside the center. Alternatively, use the bus lines connecting Salerno, Maiori, Minori, and Amalfi along the coast. The nearest train stations are Salerno and Vietri sul Mare, and the closest airport is Naples Capodichino.
The fair stands are open daily from 5:00 PM to 12:00 AM. Admission to the exhibition area and shows is free.
