Gresta Color Run (Gresta Explosion Sport & Color)

A festival of colors in the heart of Val di Gresta

The Gresta Color Run — also presented under the name Gresta Explosion Sport & Color — is one of the most anticipated summer events in Ronzo-Chienis, a small town in the Val di Gresta in the province of Trento, in the heart of Trentino-Alto Adige. It is a non-competitive colorful run designed to celebrate movement, joy, and conviviality: here, the stopwatch doesn't matter, only the pleasure of running, walking, and having fun together under a rain of colored powder.

The event takes place at the Parco Urbano of Ronzo-Chienis, on Via del Càr, a recently redeveloped space that has become the hub of the town's public and social life. The course, suitable for all ages, alternates colored powder, obstacles, and water games that turn every participant into a living work of art.

More than just a run: a day of sports and entertainment

Crossing the finish line marks the start of the real party. The program includes a dodgeball tournament for younger participants, inflatables, face painting, and spectacular aerial silks performances that leave the audience breathless. As evening falls, the atmosphere heats up with live music and karaoke, while the food court allows everyone to end the day in good company.

Organized by the Municipality of Ronzo-Chienis together with local associations, the event is an opportunity to experience Val di Gresta in a youthful and festive way, combining a sporting spirit with the tradition of Trentino village festivals.

The Gresta Color Run is a free, participatory event that attracts residents and tourists from Garda Trentino and the Vallagarina area.
