About Green Bio Town

Green Bio Town transforms the Baroque historic center of Nardò, in the province of Lecce, into the Salento capital of natural wellness and sustainability. For one week, Piazza Salandra, the Botanical Garden, and the city's narrow streets host green exhibitors, start-ups, artisans, holistic practitioners, debates, and evening performances dedicated to the relationship between humanity and nature, the circular economy, and a healthier, more conscious lifestyle. An immersive journey through nature, culture, and environmental respect in the heart of Salento.

Green Bio Town: Salento living green

Every year, at the beginning of summer, the historic center of Nardò (Lecce province, Puglia) transforms into Green Bio Town, a widespread event entirely dedicated to natural wellness, environmental sustainability, and the circular economy. The Baroque squares and alleys of the city become a vast experiential path where nature, culture, and new lifestyles meet.

A journey through the historic squares

The heart of the event is the scenic Piazza Salandra, which hosts debates, talks, meetings, and evening artistic performances. From here, the route winds through the alleys of the historic center, where excellent exhibitors, green start-ups, artisans, and producers present innovative products and services focused on sustainability. A special space is reserved for the Botanical Garden, an oasis of approximately 5,000 square meters dedicated to holistic disciplines and natural health, where the public can meet wellness practitioners and discover practices linked to the harmony between body and environment.

Themes: nature, sustainability, and the circular economy

The common thread of Green Bio Town is the relationship between humans and nature. The festival addresses topics such as green building, sustainable agriculture, conscious nutrition, holistic wellness, and the circular economy, with the goal of raising awareness among citizens and visitors. The event itself is designed with a very low environmental impact: waste sorting is managed with wooden bins, and the decor is crafted from natural raw materials.

A local project

Green Bio Town is organized by the association A.S.N. – Angeli per la Salute Naturale, chaired by Maruska Ciricugno, and is supported by the Municipality of Nardò, the Province of Lecce, and the Puglia Region. Over the years, the event has grown to become a benchmark for Salento on sustainability issues, successfully combining education, entertainment, and the promotion of Nardò's historic center.

Green Bio Town — edition 2026

The fourth edition of Green Bio Town took place from June 1 to 7, 2026, in the historic center of Nardò. Seven days dedicated to holistic wellness, sustainability, and the circular economy, featuring green exhibitors, start-ups, artisans, holistic disciplines in the Botanical Garden, and evening artistic performances in Piazza Salandra.

The fourth edition of Green Bio Town brought Nardò to life for a full week, from June 1 to 7, 2026, confirming the growth of the local event dedicated to sustainability and natural wellness. The Baroque historic center transformed into an immersive path featuring excellent exhibitors, green start-ups, and artisans, while the Botanical Garden hosted holistic practitioners across approximately 5,000 square meters. Piazza Salandra served as the stage for daytime debates and evening artistic performances.
