A weekend of rural culture and Salento flavors in the heart of Aradeo
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
In the heart of Salento, in Aradeo (province of Lecce, Puglia), the Grape Festival returns every year to bring the historic center to life with a late September event dedicated to the harvest, the flavors of the land, and rural culture. This is not just another food fair: it is an opportunity to protect, rediscover, and showcase the agricultural and cultural roots of the Aradeo community, where wine and field work have shaped the town's life for generations.
The event spans two days, usually during the first weekend of September, enlivening Piazzetta Padre Pio and the streets of the center. The program weaves together food and wine, music, and entertainment:
The Grape Festival is organized by the Nuova Pro Loco Aradeo, with the patronage of the Province of Lecce and the Municipality of Aradeo. It is a grassroots event, carried forward by a committee of local volunteers who make it a moment of joy and community rather than a tourist showcase. As noted in the official presentation to the Province, the festival honors "the rural culture and agricultural roots that have marked the territory" of Salento.
For those visiting Salento at the end of summer, the Aradeo Grape Festival is the perfect opportunity to experience the authentic atmosphere of a Salento town in celebration, far from the most crowded tourist circuits, with a glass of local wine and music in the square.
The dates for the 2026 edition of the Aradeo Grape Festival have not yet been announced. Based on previous editions, the festival is expected to return on the first weekend of September, enlivening Piazzetta Padre Pio and the historic center of the town in the province of Lecce.
The usual program includes food stalls with typical Salento products, an amateur wine competition for local farmers, live music, and evening performances. The detailed program for the 2026 edition will be published by the organizers, the Nuova Pro Loco Aradeo, closer to the event: it is recommended to follow their official channels and those of the Municipality of Aradeo for updated information.
