Cycle-carts and pedal-powered go-karts transform the town centre into a fun circuit
The Gran Pedalata is one of the most characteristic and fun events in Concorezzo, in the Province of Monza and Brianza. For an entire September day, the town centre, along Via Libertà, transforms into a real circuit where cycle-carts race: pedal-powered go-karts, often handmade and imaginatively decorated by the participating teams.
The format is a non-competitive race, designed for fun rather than the stopwatch. The cycle-carts chase each other through the town's streets for hours, from morning until evening, in a festive atmosphere of cheering, team spirit, and great joy. It's one of those events that tell the genuine soul of the Brianza towns, where popular creativity becomes street theatre.
The Gran Pedalata is organised by CASC Concorezzo, with the patronage of the Municipality. The event is part of Concorezzo's rich September calendar and traditionally ties in with the Grape and Wine Festival, helping to make this month one of the liveliest of the entire local calendar.
Together with the Fish Festival, the Büss Festival, and the Grape and Wine Festival, the Gran Pedalata makes up the mosaic of events that liven up Concorezzo at the end of summer, ideally closing the long season of Concorezzo d'Estate (Concorezzo in Summer) with a day dedicated to smiles.
In 2026 too, CASC Concorezzo is bringing back the Gran Pedalata, the non-competitive cycle-cart race that livens up the town centre along Via Libertà. The day, linked to the Grape and Wine Festival, confirms the light-hearted format that has made the event famous. The exact date will be confirmed by the organisers in the weeks prior.
The day takes place in the historic centre, along Via Libertà, with:
Organisation by CASC with the patronage of the Municipality of Concorezzo.
