Every September, Muggiò — a populous municipality in the Province of Monza and Brianza — celebrates its Town Festival, the main event in the local calendar. For about three weeks, the town transforms into a large, widespread stage, with a program ranging from gastronomy to music, from theatre to sport, all with free admission.
A Calendar for Every Taste
The Festival alternates food stalls and street food with a rich offering of musical performances, theatrical shows, and exhibitions by local associations, the true backbone of Muggiò's social life. There's no shortage of novelties, such as the beach volleyball and beach soccer courts set up in Piazza Cossetto, nor major names: recent editions have featured concerts by established artists, silent disco nights, and comedy shows.
Sport Takes Centre Stage
An important section is dedicated to sport, with awards for local athletes and, above all, the Stramuggiò, the traditional non-competitive fun run that winds through the town streets on 5 and 10-kilometre routes. The Town Festival is the time when Muggiò, on the outskirts of Milan and Monza, rediscovers its community spirit, bringing together residents of all ages in a long embrace of celebration.

Getting Here
Muggiò is reachable by car from Monza and Milan (tangential exits) and is served by public transport in the Brianza area. Events take place in various city spaces, with epicentres in Piazza Cossetto and Piazza Matteotti.
