The historic residences of Brianza open to the public in autumn
The Autumn Edition of Open Villas in Brianza completes the event calendar promoted by the Province of Monza and Brianza. Between late September and early October, stately villas, palaces, parks, gardens, churches, and museums open their doors to the public with a rich program of guided tours, extending across a territory that includes Monza and Brianza, the Metropolitan City of Milan, and the provinces of Lecco and Como.
The autumn edition is the largest: in past seasons, it has led to the opening of over 200 public and private sites. It's an opportunity to cross the threshold of normally closed places, from large noble villas to historic parks, accompanied by guides who narrate their architecture, art, and stories. It's a way to read the Brianza landscape not just as a simple urban belt of Milan, but as a land rich in history, aristocratic retreats, and cultural heritage.
As with the spring edition, the program offers themed itineraries and guided tours designed for adults and families, curated by associations specializing in the valorization of the territory. With its reference base in Monza, the provincial capital, Open Villas in Brianza confirms itself as one of the most important widespread events dedicated to historic residences in Lombardy, capable of attracting a large and loyal audience each year.
The 2026 Autumn Edition is held on weekends from September 19 to October 4, continuing the spring edition and with the theme "Stories that Remain". It is the largest of the event, with over 200 public and private sites opening in numerous municipalities across Monza and Brianza, Milan, Lecco, and Como. Guided tours and themed itineraries for adults and families accompany the discovery of this heritage.
The detailed program for individual locations and itineraries will be published on the official website villeaperte.info in the weeks preceding the event.
