The exhibition History of the Kingdom of Italy – From Napoleon to Umberto II is set up at the Belvedere of the Royal Villa of Monza (Province of Monza and Brianza) and retraces over two hundred years of national history through authentic materials. A journey that spans the Napoleonic era, the Risorgimento, the birth and parabola of the Kingdom of Italy, up to the institutional referendum of June 2, 1946.
Treasures from the Savoy Collection
The exhibition displays official paintings, historical uniforms, autograph proclamations, decorations, and objects belonging to the sovereigns, largely from the collection linked to the House of Savoy. A heritage that allows us to read national history through concrete and often unpublished testimonies, revealing the faces of the protagonists and the atmosphere of different eras.
A Tribute to Queen Margherita
A special focus is dedicated to Queen Margherita, on the occasion of the centenary of her death: a beloved figure deeply connected to the Royal Villa of Monza, where Savoyard history has left indelible marks. The exhibition, produced by Visionplus, confirms the Royal Villa of Monza's vocation to host major cultural events capable of narrating national identity in one of its most representative settings.
