The Waiting for Christmas — White Saturday is the event that officially kicks off the Christmas festivities in Concorezzo, in the Province of Monza and Brianza. Usually held on the last Saturday of November, it marks the lighting of the decorations and the opening of the most magical season of the year for the Brianza town.

Market, ice rink and lights

The program combines several classic Christmas ingredients: the craft market, the ice skating rink set up in Piazza della Pace, and the lights that illuminate the center. There are also roasted chestnuts and mulled wine offered by the Alpini, which warm up the atmosphere of the inaugural day.

The shops take center stage

The day is also a celebration of local commerce: with White Saturday, the shops in the center remain open offering special promotions, in collaboration between the Municipality of Concorezzo and the Merchants Association. A way to promote local businesses and invite citizens to experience the city center during the Christmas period.

A Christmas lasting weeks

The ice rink in Piazza della Pace remains open until mid-January, extending the festive atmosphere well beyond the inaugural day. Waiting for Christmas is thus much more than a single event: it is the start of an entire period of initiatives that liven up Concorezzo and Brianza during the holidays.
