In Mioglia, a small municipality in the Savona hinterland bordering Piedmont, the Gnocco Festival is the big gastronomic event of the summer. Three days of stalls, music, and conviviality that in 2026 will be part of the Ligurian Authentic Events calendar.

Gnocchi: The Summer Star

In Mioglia, a municipality in the Province of Savona nestled among the woods of the Erro Valley, bordering Piedmont, the Gnocco Festival has been the event that for over twenty years has drawn lovers of good food to the Savona hinterland. Organized by the Pro Loco Mioglia, it is one of the most cherished events of the summer season.

Three Sauces of Ligurian Tradition

The absolute star is gnocchi, served in the three most classic variations of Ligurian cuisine: with pesto, tocco (the typical Genoese meat ragรน), and porcini mushrooms, a prime ingredient from the Apennine woods surrounding the town. Alongside the signature dish, stalls offer other local specialties in a village festival atmosphere that lasts for three days.

An Authentic Hinterland Event

For 2026, the Gnocco Festival has been included in the regional calendar of Ligurian Authentic Events, an award that recognizes festivals that promote local products and traditions. For those wishing to discover a less touristy Liguria, far from the beaches and immersed in greenery, Mioglia and its festival are a genuine destination.
