Voltri and its sea celebrate

The Voltri Sea Days are one of the most cherished events of the summer in western Genoa. The festival takes place in Voltri, a maritime district at the western end of the city, and celebrates the community's deep connection with the sea on the occasion of the feast of Saint John the Baptist. The event is recognized as an Authentic Event of the Liguria Region, a mark that highlights the most genuine and rooted festivals of the territory.

Market, food, and music

The heart of the festival is between Piazza Odicini and the Passeggiata Bruzzone, Voltri's seafront promenade. Here, a craft and hobby market, food stalls with Ligurian specialties and traditional focaccini, and live music evenings come to life. There is also a charity raffle, emphasizing the event's spirit of solidarity.

Traditions and spectacle

Among the most characteristic moments are the TUTTIinMARE canoeing event, the Confuoco on the Leira stream – the traditional bonfire linked to the feast of Saint John – and the fireworks display over the sea, which illuminate Voltri's sky, providing a spectacular finale. A program that blends sport, popular tradition, and entertainment.
