The musical event that Spinazzola dedicates to the memory of Giuseppe Gagliardi
The Giuseppe Gagliardi Spring Concert is one of the most anticipated musical events in Spinazzola, a town in the province of Barletta-Andria-Trani (known as the BAT) in Apulia. Every year, the Sala Innocenzo XII opens its doors for an evening that weaves together music and memory: the event is dedicated to the legacy of Giuseppe Gagliardi, a local entrepreneur who was deeply committed to the town's life and cultural growth.
The event is the result of a collaboration between the Municipality of Spinazzola, the Innocenzo XII Music Academy, and the Gagliardi family, who renew their commitment year after year, turning it into a consolidated tradition. It is no coincidence that both the academy and the hall hosting the concert are named after Innocenzo XII, born Antonio Pignatelli, the Pope who hailed from Spinazzola: a bond that links the town's religious and civic history with its contemporary musical life.
The concert is not limited to a single genre: the stage of the Sala Innocenzo XII features a variety of soloists, instrumental ensembles, and choral groups, ranging from classical music to pop repertoire, and from polyphony to performances by the academy's youngest students. This approach makes the evening accessible to everyone, from families to music enthusiasts, while highlighting the educational work of the local academy.
Nestled between the Murgia and the Tavoliere, Spinazzola is a town in the Apulian hinterland rich in history. The Spring Concert represents a moment when the community comes together, uniting the memory of a beloved local figure with the joy of live music. For those visiting the BAT region in spring, it is an opportunity to discover an authentic event, far from the mainstream circuits but deeply felt and supported by the locals.
The thirty-fifth edition of the Giuseppe Gagliardi Spring Concert took place on June 12, 2026, at 8:30 PM in the Sala Innocenzo XII of Spinazzola. The program featured Tommaso Garofalo and Enza Picciotti (The Voice Generation), the Sirius Accordion Trio โ composed of Michele Bianco, Alberto Nadelli, and Pietro Secundo โ and the Innocenzo XII Polyphonic Choir "I piccoli cantori innocenziani".
As per tradition, the event was born from the collaboration between the Municipality of Spinazzola, the Innocenzo XII Music Academy, and the Gagliardi family, alternating classical repertoire, pop songs, and choral polyphony in an evening dedicated to the memory of the local entrepreneur.
The concert is held at the Sala Innocenzo XII, in the center of Spinazzola (Province of Barletta-Andria-Trani, Apulia).
Spinazzola can be reached by car via the roads connecting the Apulian hinterland; it is about an hour and a half from Bari. The town is also served by a railway station on the line crossing the Murgia.
For opening times, potential reservations, and entry information, it is recommended to check the official channels of the Municipality of Spinazzola and the Innocenzo XII Music Academy closer to the event date.
