The widespread festival of Valsugana for children's rights and world peace

The FuturFestival Valsugana is a travelling cultural event that involves numerous municipalities in the Valsugana valley, in the province of Trento (Trentino-Alto Adige), every summer. Dedicated to the theme of "children's rights and world peace," the festival is promoted by the Togethere Project and transforms squares, gardens, museums, and trails into spaces for play, creativity, and shared reflection. The various stages are distributed among the municipalities of Ronchi Valsugana, Roncegno Terme, Torcegno, Borgo Valsugana, Levico Terme, and Pergine Valsugana.
The heart of the festival is a rich calendar of activities designed for children and families: creative workshops, collective games, contemporary circus and street theatre performances, storytelling, music, and nature walks. Recurring guests include the Circo Patuf, the star of inaugurations and shows such as "Lapso" and the "Cabaret della Piuma." Each appointment weaves fun with an educational message, inviting both young and old to reflect on the values of listening, inclusion, and peace.
FuturFestival Valsugana operates on a free-will and conscious donation basis: the proceeds from the events support local and international solidarity projects. Recent editions have funded the Marafiki Primary School in Kenya, the Bambini Cardiopatici nel Mondo association in Milan, and the Gruppo Gaia Aiuto Handicap in Borgo Valsugana. This charitable vocation makes the festival not just a celebration, but also a concrete opportunity for civic engagement and citizenship education for new generations.
The event traditionally concludes with a large animated walk on the "Sentiero del cuore" (Heart Path), which leads from Ronchi Valsugana to the charming "Giardino degli elfi" (Elves' Garden), amidst games, music, and symbols of peace. It is the most popular moment of the festival, bringing together families from across the valley in a symbolic journey dedicated to children's rights.
With its widespread and itinerant format, FuturFestival Valsugana showcases the territory of the Municipality of Ronchi Valsugana and the entire valley, offering visitors the chance to discover the villages, trails, and cultural sites of eastern Trentino. It is an ideal proposal for families vacationing in Valsugana during the summer season, amidst spas, mountains, and traditions.
The 2026 edition of the FuturFestival Valsugana has not yet been officially announced: dates and the program will be communicated by the organizers during the summer months. Based on previous editions, the event is expected to take place roughly between the second half of August and the first days of September, with events spread across various municipalities in the Valsugana valley such as Ronchi Valsugana, Levico Terme, and Borgo Valsugana. The festival will maintain its focus on children's rights, peace, and solidarity, with workshops, circus, and street theatre performances available for free-will donations.
Valsugana can be reached by car from the A22 motorway (Trento Nord or Trento Sud exit) by continuing along the SS47 Valsugana road. By train, the Trento-Venice railway line serves the stations of Levico Terme, Borgo Valsugana, and Pergine Valsugana; Ronchi Valsugana can then be reached by local bus or car.
Participation in the events is based on free-will donations, with proceeds donated to solidarity projects. For the detailed program and updated times, it is recommended to consult the APT Valsugana Lagorai website (visitvalsugana.it) or contact the Togethere Project.
