An evening of music, circus, and art on the shores of Lake Orta
This edition has not been confirmed by the organiser to date. We recommend checking before going.
Among the most beloved villages in Piedmont, Orta San Giulio (Province of Novara) hosts Fuori da cogliere, the evening event where the Mastronauta Cultural Association literally steps out of its Omegna studio to scatter music, circus, and art along the lakeside. The title itself plays on this concept: going out, bringing creativity into the open, among the people, in one of the most scenic spots of the Cusio region.
The heart of the event is Bagnera Beach, one of the most popular areas on the Orta San Giulio shore, with its pebble expanse facing directly onto the Island of San Giulio. It is here, between the pier and the lakeside promenade, that a sprawling stage takes shape from late afternoon; the water, the silhouette of the island, and the sunset light all become an integral part of the show.
Fuori da cogliere is more than just a concert: it is a multidisciplinary evening designed for all ages. It ranges from live music to circus and street arts, and even the artistic interventions that Mastronauta typically hosts in its own spaces. The idea is an informal, widespread event to be experienced while strolling, with the lake as a constant backdrop.
Behind the event is Mastronauta, an artistic-cultural center active in Omegna and the surrounding area since 2001, always dedicated to research, experimentation, and cultural exchange between different arts. Taking their programming out, to the shores of Lake Orta, is a way to reach a wider audience and further connect their artistic vision to the Cusio territory.
For those visiting Lake Orta in the summer, Fuori da cogliere is the perfect opportunity to experience Orta San Giulio in a new light: not just as a postcard-perfect village, but as a vibrant hub of culture and performance. An evening to spend outdoors, with the Island of San Giulio in the background and art that, for once, truly steps out into the open.
For summer 2026, Fuori da cogliere brings back to Orta San Giulio the formula that won over the public: an evening where Mastronauta steps out of its Omegna space to bring music, circus, and art to Bagnera beach. From sunset, live concerts, circus performances, and artistic moments follow one another in an informal atmosphere open to all ages, with the profile of the Island of San Giulio reflected on the waters of Lake Orta.
The detailed program for the 2026 edition, including artists and specific performance times, will be announced by the organization on Mastronauta's official channels in the weeks leading up to the event.
