Francavilla Classica Lab

A laboratory of immersive music in the old town

Francavilla Classica Lab is the event that, at the start of summer, turns the entire historic center of Francavilla Fontana into an evocative stage made of sound and melody. For one evening, the old town, located in the heart of the Brindisi province and northern Salento, lights up with music: monuments, squares, and historic palaces become the natural backdrop for a roaming musical journey, designed to be enjoyed while strolling through the alleys.

Six musical stations among the monuments

The project distributes music across six stations set up in the city's iconic landmarks, allowing the public to move from one point to another and compose their own listening itinerary. The stations enliven the most beautiful spaces in the center:

• Via Roma
• Piazza Dante
• Largo San Marco
• Piazzetta San Giovanni

The immersive music format highlights the architecture of the town and reaches those who might not typically visit a theater or auditorium: classical music steps out of the concert halls and meets the city in a popular and welcoming dimension.

A bridge between the ancient and the contemporary

The program weaves together diverse repertoires, from classical heritage to choral and chamber ensembles, with offerings that bridge tradition and modernity. Surrounding the evening of immersive music are related events hosted in the most prestigious spaces, such as the loggia and halls of the Castello Imperiali, which becomes a treasure chest of concerts and voices during the summer evenings.

Part of the city's summer calendar

Francavilla Classica Lab is part of the rich cultural summer program promoted by the Municipality of Francavilla Fontana through the Department of Culture, which brings a calendar of concerts, shows, and events to the city between June and September. It is the ideal opportunity to discover one of the historic capitals of Imperial Salento, famous for its castle and ancient center, combining an evening stroll with the pleasure of listening to music.
