Forlì Tattoo Taboo Expo

An event between art, body, and eroticism

The Forlì Tattoo Taboo Expo is a festival born with the ambition to go beyond the classic tattoo convention. Hosted in the spaces of ExArt, in Piazzetta Savonarola in Forlì, in the province of Forlì-Cesena (Emilia-Romagna), the event centers on three declared pillars: Tattoo, Taboo, and Experience. The organizers' goal is to offer a bold and unconventional event, where body art intertwines with the theme of eros, approached in a free, artistic, and inclusive manner.

Over 50 tattoo artists and the Taboo area

The heart of the event remains tattooing: over 50 professionals, including tattoo artists and piercers, from all over Italy, work live for the entire duration of the festival. On Sunday afternoon, the Tattoo Contest is held, with challenges in four main styles — realistic, color, fine line, and blackwork — to award the best works created during the event.

Alongside the tattoo area, the zone dedicated to the world of Taboo and Eros develops, with about thirty exhibitors offering sex toys, fetish clothing, accessories, handcrafted items, and dedicated consultations.

Performances, workshops, and body culture

The program is enriched by numerous performances and in-depth moments:

• Burlesque shows, urban dances, and tribal painting in the outdoor area;
• Shibari and self-tie workshops dedicated to the art of bondage;
• Ritual Needle Play performances;
• Talks and meetings with sexologists and psychologists on body culture and eros;
• DJ sets with drum and bass, Latin, and Caribbean rhythms;
• The photographic exhibition Latex in urbeX.

An event for Forlì and Romagna

With its first edition, the Forlì Tattoo Taboo Expo aims to be a new reference point in Emilia-Romagna for tattoo enthusiasts and for those curious to consciously explore the relationship between art, body, and sensuality. The presence of a food & drinks area completes the experience, making the festival an event to be enjoyed at leisure throughout the weekend, in the heart of the Municipality of Forlì.
