A new appointment with craft beer in Poggiardo

The Fomenta Beer Fest is a festival dedicated to craft beer that made its debut in Poggiardo, a town in lower Salento in the province of Lecce, Puglia. Born in the summer of 2025, the event brings craft brewing culture to the public square, combining it with live music, performances, and street food in a format designed for audiences of all ages.

The setting is Piazzale Piscina, an open-air space that transforms into a large beer village during the August evenings: beer taps, food trucks, refreshment points, and a stage for live music, all with free admission. It is a grassroots event, capturing the informal spirit of Salento village festivals while maintaining a special focus on quality brewing.

Beer, music, and entertainment

The heart of the festival is, of course, the craft beer, the star of the evenings with various taps and selections to discover pint after pint. Surrounding the beer is a lively program of DJ sets, live bands, and unconventional musical formats that keep the square buzzing until late at night.

Adding an original touch to the event are the roaming shows of Circus Salento, featuring performances, surprise guests, and circus entertainment that engages both adults and children. The culinary side is handled by street food vendors to accompany the beer tasting, while the summer festival atmosphere is completed by attractions designed for families.
