The Puglia Beer Fest in Melissano
The Puglia Beer Fest is the autumn event in Melissano, a small town in the Province of Lecce in the heart of Salento, that celebrates craft beer produced in Puglia. Born in 2019 in Piazza Garibaldi and growing with every edition, the event has moved to the Parco Santaloja, where every October it transforms an evening into a journey through regional flavors, aromas, and brewing traditions.
Apulian craft breweries
The heart of the festival is the selection of craft breweries from across the region. Names that have graced previous editions include well-known figures on the Apulian scene:

- Birrificio Daniel's (Manduria)
- Birra Gruit (Brindisi)
- Birrificio Svevo (Modugno)
- Birranova (Triggianello)

Blondes, reds, whites, IPAs, ales, and stouts, as well as special beers such as hemp, pumpkin, or gluten-free versions made from Primitivo grapes: a complete overview showcasing the vitality and creativity of Apulian master brewers.
Food area and Salento specialties
Flowing beer is accompanied by a rich gastronomic area. Salento street food meets the long loaves of durum wheat semolina prepared by the Pro Loco Melissano, stuffed with grilled sausage and other local delicacies. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are also available to welcome all types of visitors.
Music, DJ sets, and the culture of taste
The Puglia Beer Fest formula combines food, wine, and entertainment: live music, DJ sets, and a festive atmosphere provide the backdrop for tastings. In some editions, the evening has been enriched by a Taste Workshop organized by Slow Food, a guided journey to discover the production of craft beer in Puglia.
An event by Pro Loco Melissano
Organized by Pro Loco Melissano, the Puglia Beer Fest has become one of the most anticipated events of the Salento autumn, capable of showcasing local excellence and bringing together beer lovers, curious visitors, and families for an evening of sharing. Admission is free.
2026 Edition
The dates for the 2026 edition have not yet been announced: the festival traditionally takes place in October in Melissano. The program featuring breweries, musical guests, and culinary offerings will be announced by the Pro Loco in the months leading up to the event.

The Puglia Beer Fest returns to Melissano, in the Province of Lecce, for a new edition of the Apulian craft beer festival. The dates for the 2026 edition have not yet been announced: the event is traditionally held in October at Parco Santaloja. The full program, including participating breweries, Salento culinary offerings, and musical guests, will be announced by Pro Loco Melissano in the weeks preceding the event.

How to get there
Melissano is located in lower Salento, in the Province of Lecce. By car, it can be reached via the SS275, taking the exit for Melissano; the nearest train stations are served by Ferrovie del Sud Est. Parco Santaloja is in the town center.
Admission
Free admission. Beers and food offerings can be purchased at individual stands.
Tips
Outdoor evening event: clothing suitable for autumn evenings is recommended. Also suitable for families.
