The Foglizzo Vintage Car and Motorcycle Rally is an annual event that transforms the central square of this Canavese village, in the Metropolitan City of Turin, into an open-air exhibition of classic cars and motorcycles. It is an event designed for vintage vehicle enthusiasts, but it is equally captivating for those who are not motor experts: strolling among the polished cars and classic bikes is like taking a short journey through the history of Italian motoring.

Foglizzo and its castle

Foglizzo is a small town of about two thousand inhabitants immersed in the Canavese countryside, dominated by the Castello dei Conti di Biandrate, an ancient noble residence that now serves as the Town Hall. The rally is part of the local festival tradition, often coinciding with the famous Sagra del Cossot, a festival dedicated to the zucchini (the cossot in the local Canavese dialect) that brings Foglizzo to life at the start of summer with food stalls, traditional museums, and the extraordinary opening of the castle.

A day between engines and the local area

The rally program is not just static: after meeting in the square, participants set off on a scenic tour that winds through the roads of the Canavese region to the nearby Castello di Agliè, one of the UNESCO World Heritage Savoy Residences, before returning to Foglizzo. The day concludes with a convivial aperitif, the perfect opportunity for enthusiasts to chat and share their passion.

Organizers

The event is organized by the Pro Loco di Foglizzo APS, with the patronage of the Municipality and the collaboration of local associations. Participation in the rally is free and open to everyone, both for those exhibiting their vehicles and for curious visitors who want to admire the historic machines in the square.
