About Fiuggi Expo

Every June, Fiuggi Expo transforms the spa town into a grand showcase for modern and contemporary art, and much more. For ten days, the Officina della Memoria e dell'Immagine hosts painting and sculpture exhibitions, cultural salons, book launches, poetry readings, fashion shows, concerts, cabaret, and local Ciociaria folklore, featuring international artist delegations and a strong focus on inclusion. Admission is completely free.

An art festival in the heart of Ciociaria

Fiuggi Expo - Universe of Art and... more is an international modern and contemporary art festival that brings the town of Fiuggi, in the province of Frosinone, Lazio, to life every June. The event is primarily held at the Officina della Memoria e dell'Immagine in Piazza Martiri di Nassiriya, an exhibition space that becomes a ten-day meeting point for painters, sculptors, photographers, writers, poets, and musicians from Italy and abroad.

Established in 2022, the festival has grown rapidly to become one of the most recognizable cultural highlights of the spa town's summer season, with a formula that aims to combine artistic exhibition with local promotion and community participation.

Art, literature, and cultural salon

The heart of the event is the collective modern and contemporary art exhibition, accompanied by the Cultural Salon, a daily series of meetings with artists, critics, and authors: book presentations, art critiques, poetry readings, and public debates. The artistic direction is led by Roberto Chiappini, while organizational management is handled by Stefano Giorgilli.

  • Exhibition of paintings, sculptures, and photographs by Italian and international artists
  • Cultural Salon with book presentations and author meet-and-greets
  • Fiuggi Expo awards for figures in culture, sports, and volunteering
  • Poetry and singing competitions

Beyond art: music, entertainment, and sports

The "and... more" in the title perfectly captures the spirit of the event: alongside the exhibition halls, there are evenings of live music with tribute bands, cabaret shows, fashion shows, performances by Ciociaria folk groups like Gli Amici del Ciociaro, and tastings of local products. A significant part of the calendar is dedicated to sports and social issues, including the Caput Mundi international youth soccer tournament, which involves teams from neighboring towns and Special Olympics athletes, as well as discussions on bullying and youth issues.

An international perspective

Every year, Fiuggi Expo dedicates space to foreign delegations: in particular, the Leonardo da Vinci Cultural Centre of Montreal brings a group of Canadian artists to Fiuggi, while other diplomatic and institutional representatives participate in the opening days. This international scope, combined with free admission, makes the festival accessible to both residents and the many tourists visiting the spas in summer.

Fiuggi, a city of water and hospitality

Located at an altitude of about 750 meters in the Ernici Mountains, Fiuggi is famous throughout Italy for its mineral waters and the spa tradition that has made it a holiday destination since the 19th century. The medieval old town, the parklands of the springs, and the city's hospitality facilities provide an ideal setting for the festival, which is part of a summer calendar rich in cultural and gastronomic events throughout the Ciociaria region.

Fiuggi Expo — edition 2026

The fifth edition of Fiuggi Expo took place from June 11 to 21, 2026, at the Officina della Memoria e dell'Immagine. Ten days of art, music, sports, and social engagement, with inclusion as the central theme: international exhibitions, cultural salons, tribute bands, cabaret, folklore, and the Caput Mundi soccer tournament. Free admission.

Fiuggi Expo 2026: the fifth edition

Presented at the Lazio Region headquarters, the fifth edition of Fiuggi Expo - Universe of Art and... more was held in Fiuggi from June 11 to 21, 2026, confirming the formula that combines artistic exhibition, cultural meetings, entertainment, and sports initiatives. The artistic direction was curated by Roberto Chiappini, and organizational management by Stefano Giorgilli.

The theme chosen for this edition was inclusion, expressed primarily through the nineteenth edition of the Caput Mundi international soccer tournament, which involved young athletes from the towns of Paliano, Segni, Alatri, and Piglio alongside athletes from the Special Olympics Team Lazio. Alongside sports, the program featured modern and contemporary art exhibitions, with the participation of thirteen artists from the Leonardo da Vinci Cultural Centre of Montreal, and the official presentation of painter and writer Emanuela Lanzi.

The opening evening featured live music, a performance by the folk group Gli Amici del Ciociaro, and cabaret by comedian Marko Tana, as well as the presentation of awards to volunteers and local figures. The following days saw concerts by tribute bands dedicated to Renato Zero, the Beatles, and the Blues Brothers, book presentations, food tastings, and debates on Olympic sports and youth issues with Luca Massaccesi, president of the National Observatory on Bullying and Youth Issues.

Institutional guests included regional sports councilor Elena Palazzo, who received the Fiuggi Expo award, former Lazio Region president Francesco Storace, and Il Tempo director Daniele Capezzone, who was the guest of honor at the closing afternoon alongside writer Silvio Grazioli. Once again, admission was completely free.
