A village festival dedicated to the Volunteer Fire Brigade

Firefighters' Festival is the annual summer event organized by the Volunteer Fire Brigade of Mezzano, a small town in the Primiero Valley, in eastern Trentino. The event transforms the fire station on Via Val Noana into a lively hub for families, friends, and supporters, aiming to showcase the daily work of the volunteer firefighters and strengthen the bond between the brigade and the local community.

An afternoon for all ages

The program kicks off in the afternoon and is specifically designed for children. One of the most anticipated activities is the famous water and foam firefighting games, where kids can have fun handling the hoses just like real firefighters. The entertainment is often supported by the Primiero Alpine Aid, highlighting the strong network of volunteerism that defines the valley.

Demonstrations and equipment on display

Throughout the day, volunteers hold live demonstrations to showcase intervention techniques, the use of specialized equipment, and the operational capabilities of the brigade. The festivities continue into the evening with the food stall, which typically opens around 7:00 PM, offering simple, authentic local dishes like schnitzel and fries, along with drinks and desserts.
