When the warmer season arrives, the historic center of Borgomanero (Province of Novara, Piedmont) dresses up for the occasion with Fiorilia, the floral market celebrating the arrival of spring. For one day, the city transforms into "a large open-air garden," filled with scents, colors, and a great desire to be outdoors. It is one of the most anticipated events in the Borgomanero spring calendar, attracting families, gardening enthusiasts, and curious visitors from across the Upper Novara region.
Flowers, plants, and creativity in Piazza Martiri
The heart of the event is Piazza Martiri della Libertà, where florists and nurserymen set up their stalls with a wide selection of flowers and plants. Alongside the exhibitors, there are stalls from local volunteer associations and creative workshops focused on the world of color, designed especially for children. The event also extends to the streets and avenues of the center, where shops offer themed window displays and spring-themed promotions.
An event for the whole city
Fiorilia is more than just a market: it is a widespread celebration involving merchants, associations, and citizens. Among the most beloved attractions is the performance by the Bersaglieri brass band, which brings music and joy among the stalls in the afternoon. There is no shortage of floral-themed cocktails offered by local bars and dedicated spaces for children and families. The initiative is promoted by the Pro Loco of Borgomanero together with the Urban Commerce District and the City of Borgomanero, and it is the best way to welcome spring in good company.
Fiorilia — edition 2026
Per l'edizione 2026, sabato 11 aprile, Fiorilia ha trasformato Borgomanero in un grande giardino a cielo aperto. In Piazza Martiri della Libertà hanno preso posto otto espositori tra commercianti di fiori e florovivaisti, insieme ai banchi delle associazioni di volontariato e ai laboratori creativi dedicati al mondo del colore, realizzati in collaborazione con PPG di Cavallirio.
Il centro storico, tra Via Rosmini e viale Kennedy, ha ospitato l'iniziativa "Sboccia la moda di Primavera" promossa da ASCOM Borgomanero e Confcommercio Alto Piemonte, con vetrine a tema. Tra le animazioni, la fanfara dei Bersaglieri, i cocktail dei bar del centro e i banchi informativi del Centro Antiviolenza Area Nord e dell'associazione Musicalmente.

- Dalle 10:00 alle 20:00 — "Sboccia la moda di Primavera": vetrine a tema nel centro storico (Via Rosmini, viale Kennedy)
- Dalle 15:00 — Apertura del mercato floreale in Piazza Martiri della Libertà con otto tra fioristi e florovivaisti
- Pomeriggio — Laboratori creativi sul mondo del colore per bambini e famiglie (in collaborazione con PPG)
- Pomeriggio — Esibizione della fanfara dei Bersaglieri
- Banchi delle associazioni di volontariato, cocktail floreali nei bar del centro e promozioni dei negozi
