Vintage car show and floral exhibition in the heart of the Elvo Valley
Fiori e Motori is the event that brings the center of Graglia to life in late spring. This small town in the Province of Biella, nestled between the village at 600 meters and the peaks of Mombarone, lies in the heart of the Elvo Valley, in Piedmont. The day blends a love for classic engines with a desire to come together and showcase the beauty of the Biella region, creating an event that is part sporting, part gastronomic, and part charitable.
The heart of the event is the vintage car exhibition in the Church Square: about thirty classic vehicles, joined by a selection of modern Abarths, which attract enthusiasts and curious visitors from across the Biella area. The event has become so popular that, in some years, organizers have had to turn away participants due to space limitations. The exhibition is accompanied by the traditional blessing of the vehicles, a nod to the event's deep ties to the religious celebrations of the Feast of the Holy Trinity.
Alongside the engines, the day features a charity food and flower market, which gives the event its name and highlights its spring-like, charitable spirit. There is no shortage of social moments: breakfast is included with registration, there is a refreshment point for the final lunch, and an aperitif is hosted by the Pro Loco of Muzzano. Side activities also include a visit to the Birrificio Elvo, which opens its doors to participants to showcase a local production success story.
Fiori e Motori was born from the collaboration between volunteers, the municipal administration of Graglia, the Confraternity of the Holy Trinity and Holy Cross, and local merchants. Together, they create a day that weaves together passion, friendship, and regional promotion. It is a perfect example of how, in the small towns of the Biella region, religious and civil traditions can renew themselves by involving the entire community.
The setting is Graglia, a village known for its monumental 19th-century Sanctuary inspired by the Sacro Monte di Varallo, for its hiking trails leading to Mombarone, and for the characteristic echo effect that has made it famous. It is a village in the Elvo Valley where the Fiori e Motori day becomes the perfect opportunity to discover an authentic corner of the Piedmontese mountains.
On Sunday, May 31, 2026, Graglia hosted Fiori e Motori, a day dedicated to vintage cars held during the Feast of the Holy Trinity. About thirty classic vehicles gathered in the Church Square, joined by some modern Abarths, creating an exhibition appreciated by enthusiasts and curious onlookers alike.
The program included breakfast included with registration, a visit to the Birrificio Elvo, an aperitif offered by the Pro Loco of Muzzano, and a refreshment point for the final lunch. The event, born from the collaboration between volunteers, the municipality, the Confraternity, and local businesses, was so successful that the organizers had to turn away some participants due to lack of space.
Graglia can be reached from Biella in about 20 minutes by car. The recommended motorway exits are on the A4 or A5, continuing onto the provincial roads of the Elvo Valley. The event takes place in the town center, around the Church Square.
The event is held on a Sunday in late spring, coinciding with the celebrations for the Feast of the Holy Trinity.
Entry to the exhibition and activities in the square is free; registration is required for those participating with their vintage car and for breakfast. It is recommended to check the updated schedule with the Municipality of Graglia or the Confraternity of the Holy Trinity and Holy Cross.
