About Fëta dé la Sarieula

The Fëta dé la Sarieula is the festival dedicated to sarieula, the wild thyme that grows abundantly on the sunny slopes of Verrayes, one of the few areas in the Aosta Valley where this aromatic herb thrives. For four days, the locality of Rapy comes alive with gastronomy, music, and tradition: dishes based on wild thyme, tournaments, DJ sets, dances, and the election of Miss and Mister Sarieula. An authentic village festival accessible to all.

The Aromatic Herb Festival of Verrayes

The Fëta dé la Sarieula celebrates sarieula, the wild thyme that grows on the sunny slopes of Verrayes, in the heart of the Aosta Valley. This small municipality in the province of Aosta is one of the few areas in the region where this aromatic herb is found in quantity, and around it, the local community has built a deeply cherished festival, hosted in the Rapy locality.

Four Days of Celebration

The event, organized by the Pro Loco, offers four days of gastronomy, music, and culture. Wild thyme is the star in the kitchen, with typical dishes that enhance its intense aroma, while the festival is enriched by tournaments, dance evenings, DJ sets, and fun moments like the election of Miss and Mister Sarieula.

A Festival for Everyone

The Fëta dé la Sarieula pays particular attention to accessibility: thanks to collaboration with the Interreg INTreVie project, spaces and solutions are provided to facilitate the participation of people with physical and cognitive disabilities. An added value that makes this village festival an example of inclusive celebration, capable of uniting tradition, taste, and community.
