In Chiaromonte, nestled among the mountains and valleys of the Pollino in the province of Potenza, the Festival of Traditions and Popular Music is one of the most beloved summer events. The festival offers a characteristic food and wine itinerary through the historic cellars of the town center, where visitors can savor authentic Lucanian cuisine — homemade pasta, cured meats, cheeses, preserves, and traditional desserts — accompanied by popular music: folk groups, bagpipe players, and dancers liven up alleys and squares until late at night. The heart of the event is the Parco Torre della Spiga.

Organized by Pro Loco Le Torri Chiaromonte, the festival has received important recognition: in March 2026, the Pro Loco was awarded the "Sagra d'Eccellenza" mark by EPLI at the Chamber of Deputies in Rome, confirming the quality and authenticity of the event.

The event, organized by Pro Loco Le Torri — awarded the "Sagra d'Eccellenza" mark in 2026 — will once again offer the characteristic food and wine itinerary through the village's historic cellars, accompanied by Lucanian popular music.
