The patronal feast of Figino Serenza between faith, community, and Brianza tradition
The Festival of Saint Michael the Archangel is the patronal feast of Figino Serenza, a municipality in the Brianza region of the province of Como. The celebration falls on September 29th, the day on which the liturgy commemorates Saints Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael: the town's parish church is indeed dedicated to Saint Michael the Archangel.
The festival celebrates the history, tradition, and spirituality of the Figino Serenza community. The heart of the celebrations is the solemn mass of the patron saint, accompanied by the performance of the La Serenza Musical Band. The days are enriched with moments of gathering, initiatives, and events promoted by numerous local associations, under the patronage of the Municipality of Figino Serenza and the San Paolo della Serenza Pastoral Community.
More than just a religious observance, the Festival of Saint Michael is an occasion that unites the town around its roots, in full Brianza tradition. Between faith, music, and conviviality, the celebration of the patron saint represents one of the most heartfelt moments of the year for Figino Serenza, in the heart of a territory—the Como Brianza—that maintains a strong connection with its local identities.
In 2026, the Festival of Saint Michael the Archangel, patron saint of Figino Serenza, is celebrated on September 29th, the liturgical anniversary of the Holy Archangels.
The solemn mass of the parish and the town is scheduled for 11:00 AM, followed by a performance by the La Serenza Musical Band. On September 30th, the 6:30 PM mass will be attended by city authorities and concelebrated by priests who currently serve or have served in the parish. With the patronage of the Municipality and the collaboration of local associations, the festival involves the entire community.
The complete program, including events by local associations, will be released by the San Paolo della Serenza Pastoral Community and the Municipality in the weeks prior.
