The patrons of Villasanta between faith, tradition, and village festival
The Patronal Feast of Saints Mark and Anastasia is the occasion that links the community of Villasanta, a municipality in the province of Monza and Brianza, to its patron saints. The feast traditionally focuses around the second Sunday in October and combines the religious dimension, with the celebration of a solemn Holy Mass, with the more popular and convivial aspect of a village festival.
Alongside the liturgical moments, the program is enriched each year with various initiatives: the funfair in the area near the Il Gigante shopping center, exhibitions, concerts, a treasure hunt for children, and gastronomic events of the Brianza tradition, such as tasting the torta paesana (local cake) and roasted chestnuts with mulled wine. The Corpo Musicale Villasanta plays a central role, dedicating its patronal concert to the feast.
The festival is promoted by the Municipality of Villasanta together with the Pastoral Community and local associations. It is an opportunity for the town to come together around its identity, in the streets of the center and historic spaces like Villa Camperio, at a time of year that marks the transition towards autumn.
The 2026 edition of the Patronal Feast of Saints Mark and Anastasia is expected in Villasanta around the second Sunday in October, which falls on Sunday, October 11, 2026. The Corpo Musicale Villasanta has already scheduled the concert dedicated to the patronal feast for that date. The full program, including religious celebrations, a funfair, exhibitions, and gastronomic events, will be published by the Municipality and the Pastoral Community in the preceding weeks.
The detailed program for the 2026 edition will be published by the Municipality of Villasanta and the Pastoral Community in the weeks prior to the feast.
