In Bregnano, a Municipality in the Province of Como, the Polenta Festival is an autumn tradition that has been renewed for decades. Organized by Pro Loco Bregnano, it celebrates the signature dish of Lombard peasant cuisine, polenta, around which a rich program of dinners, music, and conviviality takes place at the Municipal Multifunctional Center.

A Widespread Festival

Over the years, the event has evolved into a "Widespread Polenta Festival", involving local restaurants in a culinary journey: polenta is offered in many variations, from classic traditional dishes to more creative interpretations. This approach highlights not only the product but also the entire local restaurant scene and its surroundings.

Weeks of Taste and Music

The festival spans several weekends, generally between late September and October, featuring food stands, musical evenings, and entertainment. It is a village festival in the truest sense: families and friends gather around tables, enjoying portions of polenta and evenings of dancing, in an atmosphere that smells of autumn and tradition.

Bregnano and Como Tradition

The Polenta Festival is a piece of the identity of Bregnano and the Province of Como, where polenta remains a food deeply rooted in collective memory. Thanks to the commitment of Pro Loco volunteers, the festival continues to attract visitors from all over the region, reaffirming itself as one of the longest-standing and most heartfelt gastronomic events of the Como autumn.
