Cantù and the Culture of Wood

Cantù, in the province of Como, has been synonymous with artistic furniture and lace for generations. The Wood Festival celebrates this vocation by transforming the city into a grand narrative of 'saper fare' (know-how). Now in its 14th edition in 2026, themed 'Unique Pieces', the festival pays homage to the creative ability of companies, designers, and architects who have made Cantù an international benchmark for furnishings.

Open Workshops and Design

The festival's format revolves around several key events:

• Open Workshops: Access to Cantù's renowned workshops, where wood becomes art
• Shopping & Design: The city's shop windows dedicated to furniture
• Incoming Buyer: B2B meetings with international buyers
• Festival For Children: Workshops and activities for the little ones

These are complemented by talks, workshops, and cultural events that animate the city center for over ten days.

An International Creative Network

Since 2025, the Wood Festival has been part of the Lake Como Creativity Week and is connected to the MOME project (Museum of Furniture and Lace), integrating into the network of UNESCO Creative Cities. Wood, iron, thread, and weaving tell the story of Cantù's two great traditions: furniture and lace.

The festival is an opportunity to discover Cantù and its territory, just a few kilometers from Lake Como. An event dedicated to lovers of design, excellent craftsmanship, and the culture of handmade products.
