Vallecupa, one of the largest hamlets of Venafro (province of Isernia), celebrates Our Lady of the Angels at the beginning of August. The reference point is the church of Santa Maria Regina degli Angeli, a renovated former parish church, the religious heart of the local community. The festival is part of the 'Estate Venafrana' calendar, around August 2nd.
Mass, Procession, and Civil Evening
The celebrations include an open-air Mass, a solemn procession with the statue of the Madonna through the streets of the hamlet — traditionally attended by the mayor and the municipal administration — and a civil evening to conclude the festivities.
