Extra virgin olive oil and agricultural excellences of the Colli di Luni in Piazza Querciola
The Festival of EVO Oil and Quality Products celebrates one of the territory's most precious productions: the extra virgin olive oil from the Colli di Luni. It takes place in Piazza Querciola, in the heart of Castelnuovo Magra, a hillside village in the Val di Magra in the province of La Spezia, a border area between Liguria and Tuscany known for the quality of its agricultural products.
Alongside EVO oil, the stands offer wine, honey, and local vegetables for tasting and sale, providing a complete overview of Castelnuovo's agri-food sector. It's an opportunity to buy directly from producers and meet those who work the land of the Colli di Luni, in an event recognized as authentically Ligurian.
The festival is part of Castelnuovo Magra's rich food and wine calendar, which culminates a few days later with the Vermentino DOC Colli di Luni review. Together, these events make the village a reference point for taste tourism in the province of La Spezia.
The 2026 edition of the EVO Oil Festival takes place on June 13 and 14 in Piazza Querciola, one week before the Vermentino review. Producers' stands will offer agricultural excellences from the Castelnuovo area for tasting and sale, with extra virgin olive oil from the Colli di Luni as the star.
Detailed hourly program will be published by the Municipality of Castelnuovo Magra in the preceding days.
Castelnuovo Magra is located in Val di Magra, near Sarzana. By car from the Sarzana A12 exit; the nearest train station is Sarzana. Piazza Querciola is in the center of the village.
Free admission; tasting and purchases payable at the producers' stands.
