Festival della Maiolica – Albissola Marina

Albissola, soul of the Baia della Ceramica

Albissola Marina (Province of Savona), with its famous blue maiolica and its artists' village, is one of the hubs of the Festival della Maiolica, the event that unites the four municipalities of the "Baia della Ceramica" — Savona, Albisola Superiore, Albissola Marina, and Celle Ligure. Organized by the Fondazione Museo della Ceramica di Savona, the festival reaches its fourth edition in 2026, on the theme of artist gardens.

The White and Blue Dinner and the antiques market

The most spectacular event in Albissola Marina is the White and Blue Dinner (June 5th), a collective outdoor dinner where participants bring ceramic pieces inspired by Ligurian maiolica, dressing in the symbolic colors of Albissola tradition. The program also includes the national conference on the archives of ceramic companies (June 6th) and the market for antiques and modern ceramics (June 7th).

Major exhibitions

Among the twelve exhibitions of the festival spread across the four municipalities, the "Fuoco Ritrovato" exhibition by Ugo Nespolo stands out in Albissola Marina (May 30th to September 6th). An opportunity to immerse yourself in the history and contemporary vitality of a village that has attracted great artists of the 20th century, within one of Italy's most important ceramic districts.
