The Baia della Ceramica
Celle Ligure, along with nearby Albisola, is part of the so-called Baia della Ceramica (Ceramics Bay), a stretch of the Riviera delle Palme in the province of Savona where the processing of majolica and artistic ceramics is a centuries-old tradition. The Festival della Maiolica, now in its 4th edition in 2026, celebrates this identity with a programme that intertwines craftsmanship, art, and culture.
Artisans on display
The heart of the event is the exhibition 'Forme e colori della Baia – Artigiani in mostra' (Shapes and colours of the Bay – Artisans on display), which brings together the territory's ceramists and their creations. The festival also exceptionally opens the private park of Villa Paola to the public, offering the chance to discover a usually inaccessible corner of the town.
Cineceramica
Among the most original offerings is Cineceramica, a series of documentary screenings dedicated to ceramics and its great protagonists, from Emanuele Luzzati to the Argentine artist Carlos Carlé, who found a second home in Liguria. The Festival della Maiolica is an event that combines the rediscovery of artistic crafts with the promotion of Celle Ligure as a centre of ceramics on the Riviera di Ponente.

The 4th edition of the Festival della Maiolica takes place from June 5 to 7, 2026, in Celle Ligure, in the Savona Baia della Ceramica. The programme brings together the territory's ceramists in the 'Shapes and colours of the Bay' exhibition, opens the Villa Paola park to the public, and features the Cineceramica review.

How to get here
Celle Ligure is located on the Riviera delle Palme, between Varazze and Albisola. By car, take the Celle Ligure-Albisola exit from the A10 motorway. Celle Ligure train station is on the Genoa-Ventimiglia line, in the town centre.
