The festival in the castle

The Sagra della Madonna del Rosario is the big village festival in Pagazzano, in the province of Bergamo, set against the backdrop of one of the most fascinating monuments in the lower Bergamo area: the Visconti Castle. This imposing medieval fortress, perfectly preserved with its moat, provides a picturesque setting for the sagra, combining popular celebration with the charm of history.

Cuisine, tombola, and tradition

The sagra offers traditional Bergamo cuisine, with typical local dishes and specialties, and the unmissable evening tombola games (a lottery-style game), a moment of fun and gathering for the entire community. The Castle also hosts activities by the Peasant Civilization Group, which reenacts the trades and life of the Lombard agricultural world of the past, with demonstrations and displays that tell the story of the village's peasant roots.

Faith and community

Dedicated to Our Lady of the Rosary, the sagra intertwines the religious dimension with that of a village festival. Organized with the involvement of the Peasant Civilization Group Onlus and under the patronage of the Municipality of Pagazzano, the event is an occasion for meeting that brings together the inhabitants of the village and visitors, while also celebrating the historical heritage of the Visconti Castle in the heart of the Bergamo plain.
