The Oratory Festival

In Brembate, a municipality in the Province of Bergamo on the Brembo river, the Festa dell'Oratorio Don Todeschini is one of the most cherished events of early summer. For nine days, the village oratory becomes the heart of community life, with food, music, and recreational activities designed for all ages.

Food and conviviality every evening

Each evening follows a tried-and-tested formula: aperitif at the bar, food with a grill and wood-fired pizza, and the traditional lucky wheels with prizes. The food stalls offer traditional dishes in an informal and family atmosphere, where friends and neighbours gather for dinner.

Music and shows

The programme is enhanced by numerous evenings of entertainment: concerts, acoustic duos, aerial dance shows, and tribute bands liven up the oratory until late at night. On Sundays, the religious dimension is added, with Holy Mass in the oratory, in line with the nature of the festival, which is deeply linked to parish life.

A meeting point for Brembate

Managed by the oratory volunteers, the festival is much more than a village fair (sagra): it is a moment of aggregation that brings the Brembate community together, from children to the elderly. Like many oratory festivals in the Bergamasca region, it represents a precious social glue and an opportunity to support the activities of the oratory, the true educational and recreational hub of the town.
