Saint Donatus, the revered bishop (August 6-7)

Although not the official patron of the town, Saint Donatus, Bishop and Martyr, is the object of intense devotion that draws hundreds of pilgrims from nearby towns to Ruoti. The festival spans two days: the mornings are dedicated to the liturgical solemnity, while the afternoons and evenings offer a rich civil program with concerts and shows. Saint Roch, the patron saint of Ruoti (August 16)

August 16th is the day of the patron saint Saint Roch, whose statue is kept in the church of the same name in the Spinosa hamlet. After the procession on August 16th, the effigy is transferred to the mother church, where it remains on display for the veneration of the faithful until the first Sunday in September.
