Lenna and Our Lady of Sorrows
At the entrance to the upper Brembana Valley, in the Province of Bergamo, the Municipality of Lenna dedicates its patronal festival to Maria Santissima Addolorata (Our Lady of Sorrows). Devotion is centered around the Santuario della Beata Vergine Addolorata (Sanctuary of the Blessed Virgin of Sorrows), known as the Santuario della Coltura (Sanctuary of the Culture), one of the most significant Marian places of worship in the valley, a destination for pilgrimages and the center of local religious life.

The patronal festival is celebrated on the first Sunday of September. The celebrations culminate in the solemn procession that starts from the sanctuary and winds through the town, accompanied by religious services and prayers dedicated to the Virgin of Sorrows.
