The patronal festival of Sesto Campano dedicated to Saint Eustace
Saint Eustace the Martyr is the principal patron saint of Sesto Campano, a municipality in the province of Isernia located on the border between Molise and Campania. His patronal festival, in September, is the most solemn moment of the year for the Sesto Campano community and ideally marks the end of the long summer events season.
The heart of the celebrations is the Church of Sant'Eustachio, a building of 13th-century origin rebuilt in Neoclassical style in 1802. An ancient devotion revolves around the patron saint, preserved and organized each year by the Comitato Festa Sant'Eustachio Martire (Saint Eustace the Martyr Festival Committee), which is active in preparing the three days of festivities.
The festival spans three days, featuring the solemn Mass and the procession of the saint through the town's streets, accompanied by civil celebrations: concerts, illuminations, stalls, and shows. It is an occasion for the entire community of Sesto Campano, including families returning from abroad, to gather around their patron saint.
The 2026 edition of the Festa di Sant'Eustachio Martire (Festival of Saint Eustace the Martyr) will be held from September 19 to 21 in Sesto Campano. The three days, organized by the Festival Committee, include religious services, the procession of the patron saint, and civil celebrations, concluding the summer season of Sesto Campano.
Sesto Campano is located in the province of Isernia, on the border with Campania, near the A1 motorway exit (San Vittore/Venafro).
Free admission to all celebrations.
