Three days of religious celebration in Sesto Campano's Summer
In Sesto Campano, a municipality in the province of Isernia located on the border between Molise and Campania, the beginning of August is marked by the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The celebration takes place in the lower part of the town and unfolds over three days of religious festivities, with the traditional procession that brings the community together.
The feast is one of the events in the calendar of 'Estate Sestolese' (Sesto Campano's Summer), the rich schedule of events that the Municipality of Sesto Campano organizes every year to liven up the town and its hamlets — including Roccapipirozzi — during the summer season. Concerts, food festivals (sagre), theatre performances, and religious festivals follow one another from late June to September, intertwining the devotional dimension with the convivial one.
The Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary maintains a strong religious character, with services and the procession at the center of the three days. It is a deeply felt moment for the Sesto Campano community, which finds in this recurrence a fixed summer event in Molise.
The 2026 edition of the Feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary is held from August 1st to 3rd in the lower part of Sesto Campano. The three days, part of the 'Estate Sestolese', include religious services and the traditional procession.
Sesto Campano is located in the province of Isernia, on the border with Campania, near the motorway exit. It is easily reached by car from the A1 motorway (San Vittore/Venafro exit).
