The premier agricultural and agri-food fair in Abruzzo, held at the Parco Fluviale in Teramo
The FAT — Teramo Agricultural Fair is the leading agricultural and agri-food event in the province of Teramo and one of the longest-running in Abruzzo. Organized by the Municipality of Teramo through the Department of Commerce, Fairs, and Markets, the fair takes place every spring in the expansive green area of the Parco Fluviale Davide De Carolis, along the banks of the river that flows through the city, attracting visitors from across the region and beyond.
Spanning over 12,000 square meters, the fair hosts more than 200 exhibitors from various regions: farms, producers of local delicacies, wineries, olive mills, breeders, and agricultural machinery manufacturers. The fair serves as a vital economic engine for the area, acting as a meeting point for producers, industry professionals, and the public, while promoting agricultural supply chains and celebrating the flavors of Abruzzo.
Significant space is reserved for education and families: animal areas and educational activities introduce younger generations to the rural world, while musical performances and entertainment brighten the days. The FAT is not just a commercial showcase, but a journey into the Teramo agricultural tradition, blending taste, rural culture, and environmental sustainability.
With over thirty years of history, the Teramo Agricultural Fair bridges the memory of rural life with innovation, with a special focus on sustainability: in recent years, the event has adopted reusable cups and compostable materials for all catering activities. It is a defining event for the Municipality of Teramo and the entire Abruzzo region, celebrating the land, its flavors, and the future of agriculture every spring.
The 35th edition of the Teramo Agricultural Fair was inaugurated on Thursday, April 23, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Parco Fluviale Davide De Carolis, under the theme "Land, Flavors, and Future." The event, open until Sunday, April 26, from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM with free admission, brought together over 200 exhibitors across more than 12,000 square meters.
The program was rich in conferences and tastings: from the focus on "Fake Foods" to Abruzzo cheeses, from the "Drunken Sheep" tasting to meetings on pasteurization and food safety, and a journey through transhumance titled "On Dusty Trails." The final Sunday celebrated Teramo cuisine with tastings curated by the IIS Di Poppa-Rozzi and Fisar Teramo, followed by live music from Banda Larga and a performance by the storyteller Roppopò.
